Neto made his professional debut with the Minas Tenis Clube in 2008, where he played for three seasons. The transition to Spain’s Lagun Aro GBC in 2011 marked another major step, as Neto showcased his abilities as a key player.

In 2013, Neto was picked 47th overall by the Atlanta Hawks, but his destiny took a different turn when he was swiftly traded to the Utah Jazz, marking the beginning of an interesting journey.

Neto’s versatility was on display throughout the 2020-21 playoffs while playing for the Washington Wizards. Neto played 22.4 minutes per game in the 2020/21 playoffs, and averaged 6.4 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.0 assist per game.

In August 2023, Neto left the NBA after six seasons and announced his decision to sign with EuroLeague club Fenerbahce Beko on a one-year deal. However, after suffering a season-ending injury at the 2023 FIBA World Cup, the club released him on September 1, 2023.
